When I purchased a recumbent exercise bike, I discovered that it hurts me after a while. This thicker cushion works well for me. It is heavy like all gel items are, but it has very good cushioning.

I got this cushion, and it does help reduce the discomfort significantly! My main use for this is while sitting at my desk for long periods which causes some discomfort. However, this cushion makes it a lot better.

I have a really chair that the seating is very uncomfortable. I have a history of lower back pain and working from my dining room table, on a typical solid wood dining room chair, was painful from Day 1. I tried using blankets and pillows but was still in pain.
